PPSSPP settings for low end devices

Before we start to show the settings for low end devices, android and pc, we better check if our emulator is the latest version and only download emulator from original website and playstore. There are many fake emulators which using ppsspp great name to distribute their malware, spyware, etc. So, if you have downloaded from other sources than its original website, you should consider to download it again, because maybe the emulator you have been using was altered and that reason alone will make emulator runs slow on your system.

If you are sure, you have the right version emulator, lets continue to the settings.

Check Auto frameskip on

This is a major boost for mobile device. 

If the game you are playing is 60 fps use odd numbers for frame skipping value (eg: 1,3), and if your game is 30fps use even numbers for frame skipping value (eg: 2,4). This is done to avoid screen flicker because of frameskipping.

Make sure you are on Buffered rendering Mode, because if not, frameskipping is automatically turned off.

Uncheck Vsync

Make sure Vsync is unchecked (this option only available on windows)

Rendering resolution

For rendering resolution, you should consider to set 2x at max, beyond that is speed killer.

Check Hardware transform

Check Vertex cache

Check Lazy texture  caching

Check Disable slower effects

Upscale level

Make sure it is turned off

Uncheck Deposterize

Make sure despoterize is unchecked 

Anisotropic filtering

Should be safe to have max value since it is very cheap, but if you really desperate, you can turn it off

That's would be all, but if you still desperate you can continue with the last one. Go to system and change emulated psp's cpu clock.

The default number (auto) is 222mhz. Change it with something lower like 111mhz or even 60mhz, many people has success result tinkering with it to gain playable speed. Beware though, changing this will have unpredictable outcome like jerkiness and flickering so you have to try it for yourself.

For last one will have significant result so if any above does not give you necessary speed boost, you might have to consider this trick.. the trick is...
